Mason is sound asleep and I am sitting here thinking about the things that I have to get done. I have a few appointments to make, but I have been procrastinating and have not gotten that far yet.
Saturday I went for my first outing without Mason. I had to return my JJCole Diaper bag to Toys R Us :( The zipper was broken so sadly I took it back and got store credit. I will probably order another one. I really liked all the pockets and design on the bag. I would also like a back up just in case. I also went to Motherhood and Target. Motherhood was having a great nursing sale. I cannot believe my luck, I actually went in there looking for nursing bras that would give me more support and that fit properly. I bought 3 bras and got a 4th free. I also purchased some nursing tops and camis.
It is amazing how nice it is to have a bra that fits properly and provides support. That is a definite must have when breast feeding - I would also say that the sleep bras are another must have.I was a little nervous that morning to wear normal clothes. I have been wearing gym shorts and loose tops for the first week. I was very happy when my jean shorts fit and I actually felt great about myself :)
I stepped on the scale at home for the first time in months yesterday. I was happy with the number I saw. I currently weigh 204.8. I weighed 226.2 on Thursday the 26th of July which was less than two weeks ago. That is a 22lbs loss. I am hoping that breastfeeding and eating right will help with more weight loss. I am trying not to focus on it too much yet. I do not want to stress myself out. I am very happy with the loss so far and it made me feel even better about myself.********
I left the house today without Mason. It was a little tougher this time because I did not leave him with Tim. Tim's mom came over to watch him, so I was not worried. I was just concerned that he would be fussy for her. I went to a meeting at work and was gone for about 2 hours. It was nice to get out of the house and see other adults. I did miss my little guy, but it is good to have me time once in a while. The best part of having Judy come over? She brought lasagna for our dinner tonight :) Yummy
He is just so cute... I could just stare at him all day.
I love watching him when he is waking up. He makes the best faces and expressions. He cracks me up and I love it. It is amazing that this little guy who cannot even talk yet and just sleeps all day has taken my heart already.
