I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far! It is chilly up here in Upstate New York. I have been watching the footage of the awful mess in NY, NJ, & CT. It is amazing that all those people are still without power. They showed a woman who lives on the tenth floor of her apartment building. She is elderly and she has not left her apartment in days because she would have to go down and up the stairs. She has been heating up soup on a portable burner. It was heartbreaking. On 20/20 last night there was a story on the nurses at the NYU Hospital that carried the NICU babies down the stairs. The mothers to those babies must be extremely grateful for those nurses. I love seeing the amazing stories of people helping people in times of need.

This photo amazes me - it is the entrance to the subway. I have used the subway in NYC and could not imagine it looking like this. I saw images of Battery Park as well and it is shocking.
We are lucky that Sandy did not hit us hard up here. Irene got us pretty good last fall. We did not lose power for long though, so Sandy seems to be a little bigger. I hope they can get back to a semi normal life soon. I have to say that I am impressed with Governor Christie. He has done a great job with keeping people informed from what I can see.

Today there is another storm that is predicted to bring snow to those areas. Mother Nature is not being very nice lately.

I feel awful about my weight and progress. I feel like I cannot get my head in the game! Why is this so hard this time? I let myself eat too freely while I was pregnant and right after Mason was born. I have an appointment with my doctor on November 16th. I am hoping this will help me kick into gear. It seems like someone telling me I have to do something works for me.

I need to track everything - I keep saying that, but I really have to do it. I have been good for the most part, but some days I don't always track as I am eating. It should be easier with my access on my phone and the computer. I also have to get the BLT mentality. I need to track all the Bites, Licks, & Tastes. I also need to get rid of the bad stuff in my house! The candy bars and the ice cream are my biggest down fall. I want to try to get into taking a photo of every meal and snack, but I do not know if I have the time in my day and at work I cannot have my camera/phone with me.
I am paying for this membership so I need to start taking it seriously. I also want to be healthy and at a better weight for my body.
