I Am FREEZING!

I know we live in the northeast and the cold is to be expected, but geesh I am cold. It has not been this cold in a long time. At night we have had temperatures as low as -23 degrees.
With it being so cold I have been bundling Mason up more than usual. Yesterday morning it was windy and the temperature read -4 degrees in my car on my way to taking Mason to the daycare. Mason had on the following - fleece pants, long sleeve onesie, fleece jacket, socks, furry booties, mittens, and a hat. He was also in his car seat which has the JJ Cole Bundle Me on it. I put the cover over his face when we were outside the car. Even with all of this stuff I was still a little worried he may not be warm enough. I pulled into daycare and parked next to a woman standing outside of her car. She was holding her baby (roughly 10-12 months old) and was trying to get something out of the car. The child only had on pajamas - no hat, not coat, no nothing. I was shocked! My first issue was the pajamas in my opinion it is not the daycare worker's job to dress your child, my second and biggest issue with this was the fact that this child was in the wind and negative temperatures with just a thin piece of fabric on. I was inside talking to the daycare teacher when the woman from outside walks in with her child and says "who is taking him?!?" she then proceeded to hand him off and walk out.

Ok I am done venting... I was just baffled by how someone can be that rude and not have the sense to bundle their child up. When I saw Tim last night I asked him how he would have dressed Mason if he had to take him out of the car seat outside. He said "Just like Ralphie, one big poof" - I love him.

Today Mason woke up talking up a storm. After listening for a little while I got up to go check on him. I found his door open with Nutmeg and Scribbles next to the crib, Mason must have been talking to them. He is such a happy baby this morning. I have gotten a few rooms in the house cleaned and I have a walk planned. I got a good walk on the treadmill in yesterday. Mason was perfectly content being in his Jumperoo for 45 minutes. I am so lucky he likes that thing.
Right now Mason is trying to play with his toy before Scribbles takes all of the balls out of it.

I found a nice little package in the mailbox the other day...

I have already given some of the shoelaces away to friends. They had no clue what Sweat Pink was so I explained it to them. Hopefully they lace up their sneakers and get moving :)

Any big plans for the weekend? I am going to see Million Dollar Quartet tomorrow in Albany with a bunch of ladies. It is my mother-in-law and her sister's birthday (twins). Sunday we will also be working on the project I mentioned Tuesday. I will be able to share the details with you in a couple weeks.
