I love Becky's blog From Mrs. to Mama. A couple months ago she did a link up called Women Connect and it was inspiring to read everyone's stories. She has decided to do it weekly and I am excited. She will be doing it weekly on Mondays I believe, but I will post mine on Tuesdays because of my weigh in on Mondays.

I was thinking last night that life goes by too fast.

I am sitting here watching Mason drink his morning bottle, waiting for my goddaughter to wake up. She spent the night last night. She wanted to spend time with Mason and she is on her school vacation which helped because I have weird days off.

I was 15 when my cousin asked me to be the Godmother of her daughter. I was excited and honored that she would think of me. It seems like so long ago. I remember holding Sadie as a baby and thinking "Wow she is so tiny, it is hard to imagine her as a teenager like me."

I graduated college when she was eight and she was a little girl.
She will turn eleven in April. I was watching her and Mason play last night and realized that even though she is still a child, she is turning into a young lady. She is polite and knows how to do things for herself. We made Banana Bread and she did most of it. I quizzed her a little in math while we were adding the ingredients and she knew the answers. I should not have been surprised because she has good grades in school.
She is really good with children too. She played with Mason and helped feed him. She cannot wait to be old enough to babysit and I think she will do a great job.
And when did he start sitting up so well? He looks like a little kid in some pictures not my baby :(
After Tim got home from a meeting we got to do what Sadie has been wanting to do since we moved into the house - go in the hot tub. This was her first time in one and my first time in it since I got pregnant.

This summer she will be traveling, without any family, in a group of pre-teens around Canada with the People to People program.
I am very proud of the young lady Sadie has become and I cannot wait to watch her grow into a young adult. There will be a time (sometimes it is now) that I will wonder how Mason became a little boy. I am learning to cherish every moment and document the milestones.
